How Far can your Wedding Flowers go?

Flowers play such an important part in a celebration and there are many ways in which you can repurpose your flowers throughout the day and beyond. They can be a sizeable chunk of your overall wedding budget and they can be enjoyed for longer than you may think.

Megan and Dave managed to repurpose their wedding flowers three times: Ceremony - Reception - After Party - Gifts for Guests.

The brief was “Bringing the outside in; floral meadows with texture, scent and a romantic wildness”.

This overarching theme started at the entrance of the church, led through to every windowsill and drew the eye towards the front to a floor meadow placed at the foot of the registry table. With help from the groomsmen, these wildly romantic designs were then moved to the venue to create the same vision. The floral designs were placed on the windowsills surrounding the long tables, as if the flowers were popping through from the garden, as well as placed as floor meadows at various entrances.

The couple partied the night away surrounded by friends, family and flowers!

I am always surprised by how strong and resilient even the most fragile of flowers; the next day they were still looking fresh and beautiful. Dave and Megan asked, as part of their flower budget, for us to collect all the flowers and create posies from them to give to guests at the after-party barbecue. Floor meadows and buckets of posies were delivered to their next venue so that the flowers continues to be enjoyed by all.

“We just wanted to send you a quick message to thank you so much for your gorgeous flowers. They were even better than were could have imagined. We had so many compliments about how beautiful they were and my bouquet was unreal! I am currently pressing some flowers and drying some others in the hope I can have them forever! You were absolutely fantastic on the day too, moving all those flowers! Thanks again, from the Wilsons.”
